Parents review the importance of Baptism as the first Sacrament of Initiation and are reminded of what the Church expects of them as their child’s first teachers of what it means to be a disciple of Christ in the Catholic Church.

Grade 2 is a year of sacrament preparation for the Rite of Reconciliation, celebrated when parents discern their child is ready, and and First Eucharist, celebrated in May.

Here at Saint Andrew, we prepare students to receive the sacrament of Confirmation during 8th-10th grade. Our two year formation for the sacrament consists of community fellowship, spiritual enrichment, and guided preparation to live an authentic Christian life in broader society. Rather than just offering candidates information, we focus on providing inspiration. It is our hope that what we begin in the lives of our candidates will be fulfilled when they cooperate with the fullness of the Holy Spirit received at their Confirmation. Couples planning to marry should contact the Pastor at least six months before the anticipated wedding date. Preparation involves assurance that both parties are eligible for marriage in the Catholic Church, confirming their readiness to enter a lifelong commitment with each other, and planning the wedding ceremony.
